Veneradas y Temidas
Veneradas y Temidas is an exhibition hold at CaixaForum Barcelona, in partnership with The Brittish Museum, that enters the world of goddesses, spirits, demons, and saints—figures who have been venerated and feared to this day and who have influenced, and continue to influence, people's lives.
I was invited by Fundació “laCaixa” Exhibitions department to develop the mediation activity: an interactive room designed to evoke reflection on some of the attributes tipically related to the female figure (fertility, sensuality, ambition, rage and resilience), and vote “Power” or “Punishment” to each according to their personal and individual experiences.
Next to it, a writing corner was set where people could share personal testimonials, thoughts or ideas around each attribute, adding a contemporary layer to the years of history and archives displayed on the exhibit.
Type: Mediation (Exhibition)
Role: Concept, Experience Design
Client: CaixaForum / Fundació “laCaixa”
Year: 2024

Featuring sculptures, sacred objects, and works of art from various continents and from the ancient world to the present day, this exhibition shows us how goddesses, demons, saints, and other spiritual beings have played a significant role in our understanding of the world. From wisdom, passion, and desire to war, justice, and mercy, it offers a cross-cultural journey through different expressions of feminine spiritual powers around the world.
