The Bias Cloud: The invisible burden of algorythms
The Bias Cloud is an interactive art installation that invites reflection and raises awareness about digital biases and how algorithms shape our interactions in the digital space. Participants were invited to “hack” the installation and discover the real statistics behind online digital platforms.

The installation was featured at Brunch Electronik, an open-air electronic music festival held in Barcelona in 2023.

Are social apps really democratic? Do recommendation systems really bring content that is new and fresh? The Bias Cloud is an experiment to explore and learn how algorithms designed for personalization can end up reinforcing existing biases and limiting diversity in our online experiences – and how to use real life tricks to hack (at least some) of them.
