The Porn Conversation

A project offering tools for parents to educate the younger generations about porn.

Kids and teenagers are exposed to visual depictions of sex at very early ages. With explicit sites accessible after a simple search, it becomes more and more difficult to have control over what they are watching online. In most countries, parents and teachers continue to insist on mechanisms of shame in the (useless) effort to stop the access to pornography.

After years of working on creating a new type of erotica, and concerned with the quality of the content available online, the Erika Lust team decided to bet on information over censorship. By shedding light on the debate about online pornography, we started a campaign to help the younger generation to be critical about explicit content.

Our goal was to give adults the opportunity to help kids and teens make informed decisions regarding pornography, so they can make their decisions driven by knowledge, and not by fear.
