_ Current research: Participatory cultural creation as a tool for innovation and social development

This research is an attempt to enrich the debate about emerging cultural markets and practices in Western countries, and to add an optimistic and enlighten perspective to the discussion about possible strategies to enhance development through culture.

Based on the concepts of collective intelligence and cognitive surplus, and on creativity (Shirky) and cultural industries, my work aims to explain why participatory culture projects make for an effective, smart and innovative idea to todayʼs society problems (Giddens), generated by the paradigmatic changes of postmodern life and late capitalism (Jenkins, Bauman).

Combining multidisciplinary and individual cognitive maps and striving to achieve innovation, the ultimate objective of this research is to index fundamental components for optimized participatory culture systems.
